Oh my goodness I just blacked out a little from excitement because this would be exactly the type of total financial collapse that’s this tumblr’s bread and butter.
Is it bad that I actually think this would be sort of amazing, just because of the opportunity to watch the global financial system unfold in real time as everyone abandoned the US dollar as the global reserve currency, the whole US banking system collapsed as its lender of last resort became terminally unreliable, and consumers stormed the banks to get out their cash and convert it to canned goods and other essentials? Because that is literally what would happen.
